Living in Christ

The primary mission of Saint Mary’s Catholic School is to invite our students to follow the Lord Jesus Christ as obedient disciples in faith, hope, and love and every activity in the school is subordinated to this apostolic purpose. In our curriculum, academic excellence, athletic challenge, artisitic expression, and character formation are integrated in the effort to serve the evangelical mission of Saint Mary’s Catholic Church and School.

Saint Mary’s strives to live in Christ by educating the students:
   1) to live the virtues as witnessed in classical wisdom and Catholic         tradition;
   2) to love righeousness in all its forms;
   3) to serve Christ and His church;
   4) to respect the human dignity of each person;
   5) to participatie in weekly Mass and to grow close to Christ in the         Holy Eucharist;
   6) to study the truths of the Gospel;
   7) to prepare to receive the Sacrements of First Reconciliation,         First Holy Communion and Confirmation and to live a         sacramental life.

Religious Affiliation
The school is under the guidance of the Dominican Sisters of Saint Cecilia Congregation of Nashville, Tennessee. Over the past 145 years, the Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia have given the fruit of their contemplation in the apostolate of Catholic education.

It was off to 2nd grade with Mrs. Carpin, who probably thought I didn’t know my own mother from the many times I mistakenly called her mom…
